Two people died and one was wounded as a result of a two-vehicle car crash on Sunday afternoon, October 13. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 10 at the intersection of CTH K near Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
According to the police who investigated the accident, a passenger in one of the vehicles died on impact, while the driver was taken by helicopter to a hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. The driver died at the hospital. The victims’ names have not been released.
The driver of the other vehicle, an unidentified 26-year-old, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The agencies who responded to the emergency medical situation included the Portage County Sheriff’s Department and Spirit Air.
Wisconsin State Patrol will continue to investigate the incident.
