This year’s Wisconsin Film Festival, presented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Arts Institute and Department of Communication Arts, started this week and will run through Sunday at eight Madison-area movie theaters.
Dozens of local, domestic, and international films spanning genres, time, and place will play at this year’s festival. International documentaries, local films by local filmmakers, Oscar-nominated movies, indie dramas, and restored films are some examples of what to expect this year.
Along with films, the Wisconsin Film Festival will also host special events with renowned filmmakers in attendance. If you are interested in learning more about the festival and the films playing, visit 2012.wifilmfest.org.
