Lenovo and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued a voluntary recall of Lenovo ThinkCentre all-in-one computers for an overheating and fire risk. A defect in an internal component could cause the power supply to overheat, increasing the risk of fire.
The M70z and M90z ThinkCentre models are affected by the recall. The computers were sold online, in stores, and over the phone from May 2010 to January 2012. Lenovo has received two complaints worldwide of fire damaging the computers.
To check if your computer is affected, the Lenovo website has a support page where you can enter your machine’s serial number. It says it will replace the defective power supply free of charge.
