Kia Motors has recently recalled over 12,000 Kia Sorentos after it was found that they had defective transmissions that were dangerous to drivers.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigated the vehicles and found that their intermediate shafts had a misalignment, which led to the transmission not being able to function correctly. The Administration found that under prolonged use of the vehicle, it would eventually lose its motive power and could cause an accident.
Anyone who owns the vehicle has been informed that their vehicle will be repaired free of charge by Kia Motors.
