The family of a Houston man who died recently after falling from a roller coaster is filing a lawsuit against the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with claims that the roller coaster the man was riding on somehow malfunctioned and caused his death.
The man was riding the roller coaster on March 20, the last night of the Houston rodeo. He fell 28 feet from the ride and died shortly after because of the injuries that he suffered during the fall.
Investigations into the cause of the accident are still under way. However, officials have reported that they do not believe the roller coaster malfunctioned because its safety equipment was still in place following the accident.
