What are the responsibilities of the manufacturer or seller of a defective product?

By Wisconsin law, the manufacturer or seller of a product has a responsibility to consider the safety of the consumer when making decisions concerning a product’s design and function. The manufacturer and or seller are responsible for injuries that are caused by their product if there was a failure to use reasonable care during the design and manufacturing process or if a product is defective.
