Railroad Associations speak in Congress about automatic breaking

Posted under Personal Injury

The Association of American Railroads reported to Congress in a Wednesday, February 26 meeting that its members wouldn’t be able to meet a 2015 deadline for installing automatic brakes on trains.

The December 1, 2013 Bronx commuter train accident prompted the federal initiative to install automatic braking systems on trains. The Metro-North train accident resulted in the death of four people and injured 60 others.
