GM recalls defective automobiles

Posted under Automobile Defects

General Motors recently recalled 778,562 of its 2005-2007 Chevrolet Cobalts and 2007 Pontiac G5s sold in North America. The recall was prompted by reports of six deaths attributed to automotive defects.

The cars are prone to stalling and losing power suddenly. Heavily loaded key rings caused a switch mechanism to shift from the “run” position to the “off” position. There were also reports of the airbags not deploying properly.

Jeep, Toyota, and Honda have also recently recalled vehicles with dangerous defects.
