Posted under Reckless Driving Accident

Steven Gove, 56, of Manitowoc was hit by a car while riding his bike on Saturday, January 18. The accident ocurred at the intersection of Marshall and South 16th streets.

Despite his reflective gear, a 20-year-old driver didn’t notice Gove because he was driving under the influence. The driver hit Gove at a speed fast enough to force him through the windshield.

According to Gove, the driver did not seem to notice him until he reached his final destination. The driver fled the scene when he realized what had happened. He was later arrested and charged with multiple offenses. Fortunately, Gove did not suffer from serious injuries.
