Fond du Lac police officers hurt when their squad cars crashed into each other

Posted under Car accidents

Two members of the Fond du Lac Police Department sustained slight physical injuries after their squad cars hit one another at the intersection of Western Avenue and South Macy Street in Wisconsin on Friday, November 2.

According to Fond du Lac Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein, the squad cars were on their way to respond to another police officer’s call for backup and were coming from opposite directions when they ran into each other shortly before 9 p.m.

The police officers driving the squad cars, which included a Chevrolet Impala and a Chevrolet Caprice, sustained minor wounds and were immediately taken to St. Agnes Hospital, Klein said.

Klein said that the Wisconsin State Patrol has yet to determine the exact details of the events leading up to the accident.
