Driver sentenced for killing three teenagers

Posted under reckless driving victim

The reckless teenage driver who exceeded 100mph on Beechnut Driver last winter, causing a crash that killed three of her passengers, was sentenced on Monday to one year in county jail on three counts of negligent vehicular homicide.

The 19 year-old woman, who will start her sentence in six months, will also be on probation for six years under which she will not be allowed in bars, allowed to use drugs, and subjected to random drug testing.

According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, the University of Wisconsin-Madison student was speeding, lost control of her SUV, drove into a field, and flipped the vehicle several times. Victims’ families say many of the passengers were not wearing seatbelts.
