Distracted Driver Rear Ends Vehicle

Posted on Monday, August 10th, 2009 at 4:43 am

Early Monday morning, an accident took place in which a distracted driver rear ended the back of another vehicle.  The driver was distracted because the man was using a cellular phone to send text messages.

The man ran into the back of another vehicle at a high rate of speed causing the accident.  The individual in the other vehicle suffered injuries from the collision and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.  The man did not appear to have any injuries from the accident.

This accident is a good example of the dangers of text messaging others while driving.

Hit-and-Runs Becoming More Common

Posted on Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at 5:27 am

More individuals on the road are unable to afford auto insurance.  This is because of the poor economy leaving many individuals without jobs.  This unfortunately had had the negative side effect of causing many individuals to flee the scene of an accident.

This creates many problems.  First,  it is unethical to flee the scene of an accident. An individual should take responsibility for their actions.  Second,  many of the individuals who flee are eventually caught and will face criminal charges on top of the costs of the damage.

Hopefully this trend does not continue for much longer.
