Two In Intesive Car Following Accident

by Administrator 29. July 2009 00:30

Two individuals remain in intensive care after an accident in Burlington.

The accident involved a 22 year-old man and a 72 year-old woman. Both individuals were seriously injured in the accident on Sunday.

Little details are currently available about the accident, as officials have not been able to effectively interview the drivers because of their injuries.

More information should be released at a later date,  however it is believed that one of the vehicles crossed the center lane causing the head-on collision to occur.  Police have not yet said which vehicle was at fault.

Good Samaritans Rescue Individuals from Burning Van

by Administrator 22. July 2009 06:54

A horrible accident could have been a lot worse had good Samaritans not been around to rescue a family from a burning vehicle.

An accident was initially caused when the mother driving the vehicle fell asleep inside the van.  The vehicle then lost control and overturned.  After it came to a stop in the road,  it began to catch fire.  Witnesses and residents around the area rushed to the scene of the accident.  The mother was pulled out with her young daughter initially, while a 4 year-old son remained in the burning vehicle. This is when the good Samaritans turned into heroes.  They were able to pull the young boy out of the vehicle before he was killed from the fire.  The family members were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

John Deere Not Liable for Accident

by Administrator 16. July 2009 06:49

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has recently ruled that John Deere is not liable for an accident that occurred in 2004 which left a 2 year-old boy without legs.

The accident took place as the boy's father was cutting the grass on a lawn mower.  The mower ran the boys legs over, causing massive damage to the young boys lower body.  The boy eventually lost both legs and now wears prostatic legs.

The court ruled that much of the case depended on the family of the boy to prove that the mower was particularly more dangerous than other mowers.  It stated that the family failed to make this case.

Accidents During 4th of July Celebrations

by Administrator 8. July 2009 04:49

A noticeable increase in accidents took place over the weekend as many individuals and families were celebrating the 4th of July.

An increase in vehicular accidents was the most common.  With many individuals on the road, and many of them intoxicated from alcohol, accidents increased over the weekend across the country.

Many fireworks accidents were also reported.  At least 5 workers were killed in various firework shows across the nation.  It is sad that a weekend of celebration of the birth of a nation was tarnished for many families.
