Wisconsin Issues Warrant for Man Involved in Fatal Accident

Posted on Monday, April 27th, 2009 at 4:36 am

A Waukegan man has warrants out on his arrest.  One of the charges stems from his involvement in a 2005 accident that took the life of a passenger.  The Waukegan man was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The driver did not attend his sentencing on Monday,  which prompted officials to issue a warrant for the man's arrest.  The man is from Pleasant Prairie and is 27 years-of-age.  If anyone has information on the man involved in this accident,  they are encouraged to contact law enforcement.

Fewer Traffic Fatalities in Recent Years

Posted on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 at 5:28 am

The number of traffic related deaths has decreased in Wisconsin from year to year over the last few years. 2009 seems to be following that trend with fewer accidents and fatalities to date than in previous years.

With up to date information as of April 20, 2009, the Wisconsin DOT reports 104 fatal accidents with 118 fatalities. In 2008, there were already 134 fatal accidents with 140 deaths by this time of the year. However, these numbers can still come down a great deal.
