Young Lady Seriously Injured Jetskiing Expected to Survive

Kelly Bradford was injured in a personal watercraft accident near Discovery Bay. She was taken to the intensive care unit of John Muir Medical Center suffering a brain contusion and pelvic and leg injuries. The sheriff’s deputy says she is now expected to live. The jet ski she was riding hit a highway bridge support.

The accident killed Jeffrey Rinne who was riding with Bradford. The coroner reports he died of a blunt-force head injury. It is believed that Bradford was driving the jet ski when the collision occurred. This is the second fatality involving a jet ski in Discovery Bay in the last week.

Sole Survivor of Medical Helicopter Crash Dies

The only survivor of the Arizona medical helicopter crash has died. The victim, James Taylor, died at the hospital at the age of 36. His death brings the total number of deaths from the crash to 7.

The medical helicopter was transporting a patient from the Grand Canyon when in collided with another medical helicopter. The helicopters were operated by Classic Helicopter of Wood Cross, Utah and Air Methods Corporation.

There is still no known cause for the crash. However, investigators are continuing the search. There are currently 750 medical helicopters operating within the United States.
